CANCELLATION POLICY
The Making Love Retreat is an intimate, transformative experience for a maximum of 10 couples. Every booking holds a special place in the group, and last-minute changes are often difficult to fill.
We understand that life doesn’t always go to plan — illness, family emergencies, and unexpected events can arise. We will always approach your situation with care and consideration on an individual basis, while also needing to honour the commitments and costs involved in running a small, high-quality retreat.
By paying a deposit or the full retreat cost of a service offered by Janet McGeever, you agree to the following terms. We strongly recommend arranging travel insurance to protect against illness, injury, emergencies, or other unexpected changes.
Venues now require large non-refundable deposits a year in advance, so the terms below reflect that.

Participant Cancellation or TransferĀ
If you need to cancel or transfer your retreat booking, please notify us as soon as possible by emailing [email protected]
Transfers:
You may request to transfer your booking to another retreat within two (2) years of your original registration, subject to availability. Transfers are subject to an administration fee based on the time remaining before the retreat:

More than 45 days before the retreat start date: $900 is non-refundable.

Less than 45 days before the retreat start date: Non-transferable, unless the retreat is full and a new couple can fill your place. A non-refundable and non-transferable feeĀ of $1200 applies to the transfer at this late date.
We will make every effort to accommodate your transfer request, but availability is not guaranteed.
Refunds:
Our refund policy exceeds the obligations set out in theĀ Australian Consumer Law. Refunds will incur an administration fee, depending on the time of cancellation, calculated from the date we receive your written notice:

More than 3 months before the retreat start date: You may receive a refund less 20% of the full retreat fee.Ā

Within 60 days before the retreat start date: You may receive a refund, less 50% of the full retreat cost.

Less than 45 days before the retreat start date: Non-refundable
Late Arrivals & Early Departures
To ensure you receive the full benefit of the retreat, we encourage all attendees to be present for the entire duration. Unfortunately, we cannot offer credits or partial refunds for late arrivals or early departures.
Event Cancellation by Janet McGeever
In the unlikely event that Janet McGeever cancels a retreat, we will notify you promptly in writing and, if close to the retreat date, via phone. You will have the option to:

Transfer your full payment to another event or online course of your choice

Receive a full refund
Please note that Janet McGeever is not responsible for any personal expenses incurred due to a canceled retreat, weather events, or illness, such as airline tickets, accommodation, loss of work, or other related costs. We strongly recommend considering travel insurance to protect your investment.
This policy reflects our commitment to providing an intimate and transformative experience while aligning with Australian Consumer Law and the logistical requirements of event planning.
